Rushing creek

Amity creek was moving pretty good when I took this picture. The good thing about the speed of the water is the sound of the splashes at the rapids .. the downfall visually is the water is more churned up and brown in color. But I like it both ways ... can't beat the sound of babbling brook ... or raging river.

Golden Hill Pines

Another photo of that golden hill in my 'backyard' of Lester Park. :) (Lester Park is three blocks from my house). I found it interesting how the one tree on the right is leaning on the other two pines. The pine tree is such an interesting form ... and that irresistible blue sky fills the frame. There's a glimpse of the bridge at Superior St. in the lower right ... and the memories of warm sunny summer day. :)

Golden Hill

Here's a view of a neat little golden mound with the bridge at Superior St. in the distance. Looks like somebody .. or something .. chewed the bark right off the pine in the foreground. It wasn't me! :)

First post!

Since I love Lester Park, and I love to take photos ... I thought 'why not just start a simple photo blog of my travels and adventures through this beautiful place called Lester Park?' This is the first of hopefully many posts featuring scenes of this breathtaking place. Perhaps in the future I'll work on some history and other helpful information, but for now, it's just a simple photo blog. Enjoy
